If you're serious about becoming a technical instructor and joining the ranks of PADI technical instructors, the Tec Diver Instructor course is an obvious choice. The Tec Instructor training course is a sub course within the Tec Deep Instructor training course that focuses on teaching Discover Tec and Tec 40 divers.

The PADI Tec Instructor course prepares candidates to conduct the Tec 40 course and addresses the philosophy, organization, practical considerations, promotion and other aspects of teaching the Tec 40 course. As a Tec Instructor, you'll be qualified to teach and certify students up to Tec 40 and assist full Tec Deep Instructors during the Tec 45 and Tec 50 courses.

The Tec Instructor course typically lasts 3 to 4 days, depending on the candidates level of knowledge and tec diving skill and of course also on the candidates performance during the course. The programe includes knowledge development, practical applications, confined or limited open water and open water training and i s split into two segments: user level training and instructor level training. There is no course assistance required to gain the Tec Instructor certification.

• Current diving medical clearance signed by a physician.
• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, succesfuly completed both Enriched Air Instructor Deep Diver Specialty Instructor courses.
• Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, where at least 20 dives were made with enriched air nitrox, 25 dives were deeper than 18 metres and at least 15 dives were deeper than 30 metres.

Post Requisites

• PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Enriched Air Instructor, Deep Diver Specialty Instructor.
• Tec 45 Diver or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 20 stage decompression dives.
• Have successfully completed the Tec Instructor Standards Exam and Tec Instructor Theory and Practical Application Exam.

Duration

4 days, knowledge development, confined or limited open water and open water training dives.
